Kristine was raised in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, attended St. Norbert College and taught art for 39 years in West DePere, Wi. Kristine Marie Jewelry was created by Artist/Teacher/Entrepreneur Kristine Landreman in the mid ’80s as a result of her quest to develop a marketable, artistic product. Her unique one-of-a-kind ceramic jewelry soon became a popular favorite in local boutiques and galleries, and throughout the country. In Fall of 1985, Kristine took a major step and began planning a line of jewelry that would be reproduced for orders, making a major change from the original one-of-a-kind concept. The first line debuted at the Chicago Apparel center spring/summer market in January, 1986. This marked the beginning of the growth of a small cottage industry to one capable of producing original, hand painted ceramic jewelry in sufficient quantities to fill large orders from major department stores and catalog companies. Today she is expanding into making ornaments, tiles, fiber scarves and stoneware pieces to compliment her ceramic jewelry line.
