I started painting and drawing at a young age but once children and career intervened I was busy with other things.
In the last several years I’ve returned to painting primarily watercolor sometimes adding other media, i.e., gouache, charcoal or tissue collage. When I have the chance I like to paint “en plein air,” which reminds me of the true shapes, colors, and perspective of objects and living things. My favorite subject is animals but I intersperse those paintings with more traditional subjects—people, florals and landscapes.
Like almost every artist I’ve met, whether visual or performance, I do it because I love it.
